EPISODE ONE: Linguistic barrier in governance: is Yaman a victim?
What is a Language barrier and is language a barrier?
Simply put, the language barrier is the difficulties in communication experienced by people or groups originally speaking different languages, or even dialects in some cases.
Language barrier impedes the formation of interpersonal relationships and can cause misunderstandings that lead to conflict, frustration, offence, violence, hurt feelings, and wasting time, effort, money, and lives of the people.
Languages should not be a concern, they are not a barrier – to the contrary, they should be celebrated.
